FAIRBANKS — A Fairbanks man was jailed during the weekend after a woman told authorities he raped her last year.

Harry K. Geffe, 18, has been charged with first-degree sexual assault, an unclassified felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison.

The woman told Alaska State Troopers she was sleeping at Geffe’s home last March, and awoke to find him having sex with her.

She attempted to push him off, and he threatened to kill her if she told anyone about what happened, according to charging documents.

When confronted with the allegations, Geffe at first told troopers the sex was consensual, but later admitted he had sex with the woman while she was sleeping. He denied making any threats toward her.

Geffe has no prior adult criminal record in Alaska.

Headline: "Fairbanks boy..."

Maybe "male"...

But certainly no "man".
