Coldest December in 30 years, but temperatures above zero expected
This month has been the coldest December in 30 years. So far.
The average temperature at Fairbanks International Airport has been 20 below, which is 15 degrees cooler than normal, the National Weather Service said.
With 2.5 inches of snow this month, it has been dryer than normal. Total snowfall this winter is 21.8 inches, which is about two inches more than last winter and about half of what we usually get.
"Clouds are expected to keep temperatures close to average the next few days with the potential that temperatures may climb above zero in many areas by New Year's Eve. Aside from flurries, no significant snowfall is expected the next few days," the Fairbanks forecast office said.

What about the profit the state of Alaska makes by selling our property – royalty oil – after making approximately $85 per barrel profit. Does that affect the price of local oil products?
During the Bush administration there was a massive campaign to run up the price of oil to reduce consumption and cut CO2 emissions. As you may recall, at the Bali conference the OPEC minister said OPEC would reduce consumption to run up the prices.
The model for cutting oil consumption was copied from the anti-cigarette smoking campaign. Run the price up.

The propaganda line for increased oil prices is now an argument that other countries are consuming more oil. The prior propaganda line was price manipulation by speculators and price gouging by oil companies.
I note that Pres. Obama"s push for alternate energy – especially electricity production has zero practical impact on the consumption of oil. President Bush through $8 billion into RandD hydrogen fueled cars. Do you see any hydrogen fueled cars running around?
Oil is essential to America. Practically everything we have is because of it and much of what we have is made from it.
The production of food, transportation of practically everything is because we have oil. When the price of goes when the price goes up everything we buy goes up, especially here in Fairbanks because we are near the end of the distribution system.
Even postage rates on your Christmas card had to go up because of the price of oil.

Of course, we could take all his global warming windbags and have them blow it in the correct direction and change the Earth's axis and orbit to alter the climate. Also, we could put a chain on the moon to hold it in place so that it does not fly off into space.

Watch for the price of oil to go over $100 and for the states profit per barrel to be approximately $95. About 90% of the states income is from the sale of royalty oil to YOU.
You betcha banning wood stoves fills the state treasury with your money because you are forced to buy oil for electricity at double and honest cost.
Its not Global warming people-its Global change-it happened many times before we were here and it will happen many times after we are gone. So unless we can stop volcanos, forrest fires,and dead animals and plants from rotting and algea from growing (all are much bigger contributors then man)I suggest we learn to adapt-or move
